Costa Crociere is an Italian cruise company headquartered in Genoa. It is part of Carnival Corporation & plc, the largest cruise company in the world. Costa ships have been travelling the world's oceans for over 69 years and offer their guests Italy's Finest: a mixture of the Italian way of life, hospitality, cuisine, entertainment and relaxation.

With Netresearch, we have a partner at our side who continuously optimises parts of our website with us. This has enabled us to improve usability in various areas, create mobile-optimised pages and thus make the customer journey more user-friendly. Netresearch also supported us in the technical implementation of our content strategy: new destination and offer templates make holiday research even more inspiring. We are also seeing improved visibility in search engines.

The website costakreuzfahrten.de was to be realised by us with the enterprise content management system TYPO3.
The launch was planned for the beginning of 2015. Visitors were to be able to book Costa cruises directly via an integrated IBE (Internet Booking Engine) booking route.
A design relaunch to modernise the website was also planned for the end of 2016.
After almost two years of operation, Costa commissioned us with the design relaunch of selected areas of the website. The aim of the new design, which was specified by Costa, was in particular to optimise the conversion rate.
A particular focus was on the homepage: below the navigation, we integrated a new search mask that makes it much easier to access the travel search.
We also made adjustments to the slider to direct visitors' attention to various offers.
In addition, the homepage was expanded to include short-term offers, an overview of services and inclusive services as well as current customer reviews.
The website costakreuzfahrten.de was developed by us and went online at the beginning of 2015. Interested parties can use the platform to obtain comprehensive information and book worldwide cruises directly. TYPO3 was used as the content management system.
The centrepiece of the website is the booking route, which we originally designed for AIDA and successfully adapted for Costa. In order to do justice to the growing mobile traffic, we developed a responsive campaign page for the 72-hour offer campaign.
In addition, the "Destinations" and "Offer of the Week" pages were redesigned to improve their usability and make the booking process even more intuitive.
