Why a TYPO3 upgrade is important for your website:

You are running your TYPO3 in version 8 or lower with many open source and self-developed extensions.

Here we first recommend a (gradual) upgrade to version 10, as the extensions may not yet be ready for the latest version. Additionally, a customization of the self-developed extensions may sometimes be necessary if the new PHP version 8 is required.

Your website is still based on an older TYPO3 version? Then it's high time for an upgrade! For TYPO3 version 9 and older the free support has already run out. Those systems are no longer actively maintained, and bugfixes are only provided in paid extended support.
