The plan


REP2GO is an entirely new franchise concept in the field of Smart Repair, which was launched by Axalta Coating Systems. Via an online portal, motorists should be able to easily and conveniently book appointments in repair shops. Also, the workshops as affiliated franchise companies need to be enabled to represent their repair and service portfolio. Customers should be able to order a repair online at a fixed price, as well as book attractive rental vehicles.

The vision behind REP2GO is the digital customer journey from damage assessment through mobile booking, payment, pickup and return of the rental vehicle to final billing and quality assurance. This project is to be rolled out throughout Germany. The onboarding of many new franchisees plays a big role here.

The connection to the workshop software of the body shops is part of future steps. In addition, the workshops can order all the necessary materials to carry out their repair orders via an integrated webshop for paints and accessories. The webshop is to be integrated into the system landscape (SAP) of Axalta to enable just-in-time delivery of the required materials.

Implementation


Based on TYPO3, a responsive CMS in the REP2GO layout was developed, which offers the REP2GO services for vehicle owners and also provides an internal "partner area" for the workshops. The services for the workshops, such as videos and marketing material, can be centrally published by Axalta to the workshops (franchisees).

In addition, the seamless integration of a webshop based on Magento 2 for paints and accessories as well as the integration of the internal SSO solution (ForgeRock) for the franchisees was done. For easy, mobile booking of appointments and rental cars, an online booking tool has been integrated for Smart Repair customers.

Through the connection to the SAP inventory control system, repair shops can carry out their order processing. By setting up a customer account, vehicle owners also see their booked services and repair history.

The result


At rep2go.com, a portal can now be reached that perfectly meets the requirements of the client. Axalta regularly provides updates, services and guidance to its customers through the partner area of the portal. Every car owner can easily book appointments, select rental cars and retrieve information about the respective workshop. This way, the requirements of Axalta, the workshops, and customers are ideally combined.

The first partner workshops are already active. Having started in the Cologne area in Germany, a large number of nationwide workshops will be connected in the future. Netresearch laid the foundation for REP2GO with the launch of the portal and prepared the next steps in the implementation of the customer's digital vision.
